Yes. When you stay at Stonara, the entire cabin and property are yours to enjoy. There are no shared spaces, other guests, or neighboring cabins on the property.

Your hot tub, cedar sauna, wellness areas, cinema, outdoor fireplace, fire pit, and outdoor spaces are all exclusively yours during your stay—so you can truly relax, reconnect, and enjoy the mountains together.

Are the hot tub, sauna and spa areas private?+

Absolutely. Your hot tub, cedar sauna, and wellness spaces are exclusively for you during your stay—they're never shared with other guests.

You'll have your own space to soak, unwind, enjoy the sauna, or simply slow down together, all surrounded by the peaceful Blue Ridge mountain setting.

Is Stonara Retreat designed for couples?+

Yes. Stonara was intentionally designed as a romantic couples retreat—a place to slow down, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together.

From quiet mornings with coffee to evenings in the hot tub, sauna, by the fire, or watching a movie in your private cinema, the experience is centered around creating meaningful time for two.

Is Stonara a good cabin for an anniversary or honeymoon in Blue Ridge?+

Absolutely. Some of our favorite stays to host are the ones celebrating something special. Stonara offers the privacy, romantic setting, and thoughtful details that make it especially suited for anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays, babymoons—or simply a relaxing escape from everyday life together.

If you'd like to make your stay even more memorable, we can also help you arrange romantic add-ons and private wellness experiences before you arrive.

Can we book a private couples massage at Stonara?+

Yes. We can help arrange a private massage experience during your stay with one of our trusted local massage therapists, subject to availability and weather.

Solo treatments can be enjoyed in our private massage space, while couples massages are set up side-by-side outdoors, surrounded by nature—so you can relax together without ever having to leave Stonara.

Can you help me plan a romantic surprise at Stonara?+

Absolutely. If you're celebrating something special—or simply want to surprise someone you love—we can help you add a few thoughtful touches to make your stay even more memorable.

Romantic setups and private massage experiences can be arranged in advance, so everything is ready for you to simply arrive and enjoy the moment together.

How secluded is Stonara Retreat?+

Stonara gives you the best of both worlds: the privacy and stillness of a mountain escape without feeling far from everything you came to Blue Ridge to enjoy.

Surrounded by nature with no immediate neighboring cabins, you can slow down and enjoy the peaceful mountain setting together—while Downtown Blue Ridge and Lake Blue Ridge are only about 8 minutes away.

Restaurants, shopping, and outdoor adventures are all within easy reach whenever you feel like exploring.

How close is Stonara to Downtown Blue Ridge, hiking, and waterfalls?+

Very close. One of the things we love most about Stonara is that you can enjoy the privacy and stillness of a mountain retreat while staying just minutes from some of the best things to do in Blue Ridge.

Downtown Blue Ridge and Lake Blue Ridge are about 8 minutes away, and the nearby Aska Adventure Area puts hiking, waterfalls, mountain biking, and the Toccoa River within easy reach.

If you're ready to explore, the Aska Trail System offers approximately 17 miles of trails through the Chattahoochee National Forest, with everything from easy walks to more challenging mountain hikes. Fall Branch Falls is about 17 minutes from the cabin, and you'll also have nearby access to the Benton MacKaye Trail and Shallowford Bridge.

And you don't have to plan it all yourself—we'll send you our curated Stonara Guest Guide with some of our favorite hikes, waterfalls, restaurants, and local experiences before your stay.

Can we spend the whole getaway at the cabin?+

Absolutely—and many couples do. Stonara was designed to be an experience in itself, so you can arrive, slow down, and enjoy your time together without feeling like you need to go anywhere.

Spend the day soaking in the hot tub, unwinding in the cedar sauna, watching a movie in your private cinema, relaxing by the fire, or simply enjoying the peaceful mountain setting together.

And if staying in sounds better than going out, you can make it even easier: grocery stores are 5 minutes away, DoorDash delivers to the area, and Walmart delivery reaches the cabin—so even dinner and groceries can come to you.

Is Stonara Retreat pet-friendly?+

Yes! Dogs are part of the family at Stonara, and we welcome up to two per stay.

The cabin includes pet blankets and dining bowls, plus gated outdoor areas and a fenced space where your pups can enjoy some fresh mountain air—giving you a little extra peace of mind while you relax together.

Just be sure to include your dogs on the reservation when booking.

Is parking at Stonara suitable for RVs or trailers?+

No. Stonara's driveway and parking area are not suitable for RVs, trailers, or vehicles towing a trailer.

The road to the cabin is fully paved, but the final approach includes a steep hill and the driveway is narrow, so we recommend arriving in a standard passenger vehicle or SUV.

Do I need a 4WD vehicle to get to Stonara?+

No. Under normal conditions, you don't need a 4WD vehicle to reach Stonara. The road to the cabin is fully paved, and standard passenger vehicles and SUVs can access the property.

During snow, ice, or freezing winter conditions, however, we strongly recommend an AWD vehicle for added safety on the mountain roads.

Does Stonara have a washer and dryer?+

Yes. Stonara has a washer and dryer right inside the cabin, along with laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and an iron—so you can pack a little lighter and have everything you need if laundry day happens to follow you to the mountains.

Is the kitchen fully stocked for cooking?+

Yes. Stonara has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, pots and pans, cookware, dishes, glassware, utensils, and the everyday essentials you'll need to prepare and enjoy meals during your stay.

We also provide a selection of spices, salt, and olive oil, so you won't have to bring all the little basics from home.

Whether you're making breakfast before exploring Blue Ridge or staying in for a cozy dinner together, you'll have everything you need to cook, serve, and enjoy it right at the cabin.

What's included in Stonara's coffee station?+

Morning coffee is covered. Stonara's coffee station includes a dual coffee maker for both K-Cups and ground coffee, plus a Nespresso Vertuo and a tea kettle for heating water.

We provide a complimentary selection of K-Cups and Nespresso pods, including decaf options, along with creamer, sugar, sugar-free sweeteners, Stevia, honey, a variety of teas, and hot chocolate. If you prefer ground coffee, simply bring your favorite blend to enjoy during your stay.

Whether it's coffee before a day exploring Blue Ridge or a slow cup together in the mountains, you'll have plenty of options to make your morning just the way you like it.

Can we stay at Stonara with children?+

Yes. While Stonara was designed primarily as a couples retreat, families traveling with children are welcome.

For little ones, we provide a Pack 'n Play and a baby safety gate for the indoor stairs. However, the cabin is not childproofed and includes elevated porches, stairs, and furnishings designed with adults in mind, so children should be closely supervised at all times.

If you're traveling with little ones, we simply ask that you keep this in mind when deciding whether Stonara is the right fit for your family.
